Adam C. Husney, MD

Adam C. Husney, MD, is a Family Physician and healthcare leader who has dedicated his career to empowering patients to take an active role in their health and healthcare decisions. Recognized for his commitment to fostering strong patient-provider relationships and advancing patient education, Adam has made significant contributions to the healthcare field.

Adam earned his Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Brown University and his medical degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed his Family Medicine residency at the University of Michigan and is board-certified in family medicine. Before relocating to Idaho in 1998, Adam practiced at the Hitchcock Clinic in Concord, New Hampshire.

In 2000, Adam joined Healthwise, Incorporated as an Associate Medical Director. He advanced through various leadership roles, serving as Medical Director and, in 2016, becoming Chief Medical Officer (CMO). In 2018, he was named President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Healthwise, where he guided the organization with a commitment to its mission: helping people make better health decisions.

As CEO, Adam used his expertise in evidence-based medicine and his strategic leadership abilities to help drive innovation and impact. He collaborated closely with Healthwise product managers and clients across provider and payer industries to create solutions that addressed both consumer healthcare needs and client workflows. Additionally, he worked alongside Healthwise content teams to ensure products reached and supported as many individuals as possible, empowering informed health decisions.

Adam was elected to the Healthwise, Incorporated Board of Directors in 2022, further contributing to the organization’s vision and success.
